For the sake of my friends by ShadowLancerRena For the sake of my friends by ShadowLancerRena
Ooooh maaaaan. If you guys see this picture on another account, my friend :iconstealthos-aurion: took em for me XD. It was INSANELY cold outside during Katsucon but we ran out to hopefully grab some pictures of my cape flowing in the wind. Surprisingly, they came out better than I expected since flowly cape doesn't 'always cooperate. But I actually really like this picture :D.

The entire costume is made by me with much suffering and bleeding and just cutting my fingers cause OOOOOW......That cape has a hood...a hood she never used XD. But it was fun to have around. I'll go into more details on that in another picture. Prepared to be spammed

Costume made and worn by me.
Series/Character: Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening

I dislike doing shoots with flash & other gear in the wind, though clothing may look elegant flowing in it! That's why I was using a softbox on that lightstand instead of an umbrella, otherwise sailpower from the wind onto the umbrella would've blown it away into the far distance... A softbox, being relatively round, is more wind-resistant than umbrellas, which really catch wind even at slow speeds.

Having an assistant helps, but I think it wouldn't have mattered with the kind of strong winds Katsucon had in the past few days.

Yea, understandable. It wasn't that bad starting off, but then as the clouds rolled in, so did the wind @_@. Bad weather, bad!

BTW, a sample shot of Friday's shoot is up: [link] I removed a big airplane on the right and the people on the shoreline.

Thanks! It was a race against time, the sun was setting. Then suddenly...Dat wind! :omg: If I had a helper, things would've been twice as fast, but I worked with what I got and became my own assistant. And I did most of my shoots like that, without help and by being my own helper.

For someone who is able to be his/her own helper, that's impressive as it is! Especially with all those equipments being carried around :D. *thumbs up* Just...dat wind! DID NOT WANT XDDD.
